At OCC, we make setup simple. Our spacious docks, drive-in ramps, and multiple loading bays are designed to get your materials in place without stress. Once you’ve unloaded, you’ll find clear guidance on where to park so traffic keeps flowing smoothly. Whether you’re coordinating freight with your show decorator or bringing in smaller shipments, our team is here to help you plan every step.
Smooth and Efficient Unloading
Work closely with your show manager to ensure that you know your assigned load in time and the appropriate ramp to use.
Freight Shipments
All freight should be shipped directly to your show decorator. Ask your show manager for details. We will not accept or ship exhibitor freight or drayage. For larger conventions and trade shows, request shipping services through your organization’s third-party decorator.
If you do not have a decorator but need to ship items weighing less than 150 pounds, call the local UPS Store at 503-230-1808 to arrange services.
Loading Docks, Ramps, and Bays
After unloading, relocate your vehicle to the OCC garage or parking lot so others can unload as well. Oversized vehicles can get parking directions at check-in.
18 Loading Bays, 3 Drive-In Ramps, with Easy Access to All Venue Levels
Our venue features 18 loading bays, all with load levelers, and 20-foot-high by 18-foot-wide door capacities. There is 8,000 square feet of indoor dock space with access to exhibit halls through three drive-in ramps and three roll-up doors. Door sizes vary from 20 to 22 feet tall to 18 to 20 feet wide.
Directions to Loading Docks
Our loading docks are located on NE First Avenue, which runs parallel to NE Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Boulevard. Driving south on NE MLK Boulevard, turn right onto NE Lloyd Boulevard and continue for 0.1 miles. Then take the first right onto NE First Avenue.
Exhibitor Parking Availability
Parking may be made available as necessary or on a show-by-show basis. Depending on the event, overflow parking may be directed to one or more satellite lots and/or garages in the area surrounding the convention center.
Contact your show manager for questions related to event parking.
Recreational Vehicle Parking
We do not permit overnight parking for recreational vehicles or mobile homes in the parking garage or any satellite parking lots.
Street Parking and Drop-Off/Pick-Up Zones
There is an ample number of parking spaces within walking distance of the convention center. Short term drop-off/pick-up zones are available adjacent to the convention center on NE Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard (MLK) and on NE Holladay Street.
