Options for Cash-Only Guests

We recognize the importance of equitable access. To support guests who bring cash, OCC provides a cash-to-card machine (Reverse ATM) in the MLK lobby.

  • Instantly exchange cash for a prepaid VISA gift card
  • Use anywhere VISA is accepted, both inside OCC and elsewhere
  • 100% anonymous and reusable until funds are spent

Exhibitors May Differ

While OCC operations are cashless, many exhibitors and event vendors may still accept cash directly at their booths. Availability varies by event.

This system ensures that all guests can enjoy OCC services while also allowing them to make purchases from exhibitors — whether those exhibitors operate cashless or continue to accept cash. Reverse ATMs also create more opportunities for small business vendors to maximize sales with broader guest participation.

  • What do guests do if they only have cash?​

    Guests may anonymously put their cash into a Reverse ATM and receive a Visa card of equal value. They may then use the Visa card at the restaurant and café outlets, for parking or anywhere Visa is accepted.​

  • Do guests pay a fee for each Reverse ATM transaction?​

    No, there are no fees charged when using the Reverse ATM.​

  • Where is the Reverse ATM located?​

    You'll find a reverse ATM located down the short hallway to the left of the welcome desk in the MLK Lobby.

  • Is there a limit to how much cash can be loaded to a card?​

    A card can be loaded for $1 - $500 and cannot be reloaded.​​

  • Do guests have to share any of their personal information to use the Reverse ATM?​

    No, use of the Reverse ATM and the Visa card is completely anonymous.​

  • How do I use the parking garage if I only have cash?​

    You’ll receive a ticket you can take inside OCC and use the self-pay kiosk which accepts cash.​​

  • Can guests still tip staff with cash?​

    Yes, cash tips will still be accepted, as well as the option for tipping at the end of a debit/credit card transaction.​

  • What if I lose my card?​

    The card should be treated as cash. If you have your receipt, you can call the number printed on it and a customer service representative from the card company may be able to help you. If you do not have your receipt, unfortunately the card cannot be replaced.
