Join our team at the OCC!
The Oregon Convention Center is the largest convention facility in the Pacific Northwest, attracting out-of-town visitors to national conventions, tradeshows, and meetings, and local people to special events. The convention center’s roughly 100 employees host more than one million event attendees each year.
The convention center offers a range of job opportunities—from sales and marketing experts and event managers to operations engineers, audio visual technicians, utility workers and security agents—with competitive salaries and benefits packages. Temporary jobs provide experience and opportunities to grow.
“I love my job. I get to help out with all kinds of events and meet people from all over country and the world, and it’s great to be at a place with such easy access to transit.”
“OCC is a wonderful place to work. If you like a fast pace and put people first, you will love working here.”
The Oregon Convention Center and Metro
As part of the Metro family, the Oregon Convention Center helps make greater Portland a great place to call home.
Metro brings people together to shape the future of greater Portland and provides places, services and tools that work best at a regional scale. Led by an elected council, Metro gives Oregonians a voice in land and transportation planning, water and wildlife conservation, garbage and recycling decisions, and arts and event venue management. Metro destinations include the Oregon Convention Center, Oregon Zoo, Portland Expo Center, Portland’5 Centers for the Arts, and Blue Lake and Oxbow regional parks.
Metro is taking steps to hire and support staff who reflect the diversity of the people we serve. At the same time, we are working to create a safe and welcoming workplace. When Metro’s staff represents many backgrounds and experiences, we do better work. Diverse voices make the region better.
